On this day there was a good hailstorm in Champasari, Pradhannagar district of Siliguri. Because of this the residents of that area could not show the courage to stay outside the house.
In addition, the wind blows at a speed of 30-40 km per hour in many places. Rain and thunder were reported in several areas in Duars. The chance of rain is also high on Tuesday morning. Gopinath Raha, Central Director of the Meteorological Department, Sikkim, said, ‘This situation has been created due to the location of the cyclone as well as the supply of water vapour.’
