State Epidemic Control Officer Dr Shanya Salam reached Phup from Bhopal on Tuesday regarding the spread of the infection due to contaminated water in three wards in Phup in Bhind. Here he discussed with the families of those suffering from the disease. Here he took the necessary steps related to health.

.

Dr Shanya went to Ward 5, 6 and 7 and collected information from people infected with cholera and the use of contaminated water. He said that in order to prevent this type of infection, first of all people should be warned and the causes of the disease should be prevented. An epidemic has spread among people due to drinking contaminated water, so it is very important to stop such water supply first.

Along with taking information from the patients at PHUP, he also got information about the treatment and facilities provided by the administration. Let us tell you that the administration and the health department initially called this oral infection due to contaminated water supply as a normal infection, but after reporting three deaths and around a hundred patients, the state government took notice of it and took the matter seriously After investigating, it was found to be a cholera infection. After that instructions were given to carry out tests immediately and provide appropriate treatment to the patients.

two new patients arrived

Currently, patients are continuously coming out due to disease in Phup. On Tuesday, 40-year-old Mithilesh and his five-year-old Pari, who lives in ward number seven, started having diarrhea since the morning. However, both patients did not vomit. This disease is said to be an infection. In such circumstances, both patients have been admitted to the community health centre. It would be appropriate to mention that the total number of patients suffering from vomiting and diarrhea in Bhind, Gwalior and Phup is currently five. There is a ward set aside for these patients in the district hospital.

A stool test revealed a serious infection:

It can be noted that after the outbreak of the epidemic in Phup, a three-member team of doctors from JAH took stool samples from the patients, which after tests revealed the presence of Vibria cholera bacteria. This bacteria spreads from an infected patient to others, causing the person to become infected with cholera. After this report came out, the administration became alert and alerted the health department and asked for immediate treatment and measures to stop it.

Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr Shivram Singh Kushwaha says that in case of infection in Phup Nagar, patients are identified and treatment is given through continuous monitoring. It is also being investigated at the state level, where doctors and other experts are constantly coming here to find out the reasons for sampling. At the moment no new patients have come forward.
