Bharatiya Kala is positioned to highlight the North Eastern cultural heritage at Rashtrapati Neelam Achi-News

The inaugural edition of the Bharatiya Kala Mahotsav will be hosted by the Rashtrapati Nilayam in Secunderabad, Telangana, from September 29 to October 6, 2024. Organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Development of North East Region (DoNER) and the Ministry of Culture, this eight. -day festival is meant to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the northeastern states of India.

The event, which will be inaugurated by the President of India on September 28, will showcase the diverse art, culture, craft and cuisine of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim. Over 300 artists and craftsmen from these countries will participate, offering visitors an immersive experience of the region’s contrasting traditions.

The Rashtrapati Nilayam, the President’s winter retreat, opens to the public in March 2023, allowing visitors to explore its vast grounds, themed gardens and architectural beauty.

While spot bookings will be available for walk-ins, visitors can also book slots online at visit.rashtrapatibhavan.gov.in.
