Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) will temporarily suspend its online services for three days from October 4 to upgrade its IT system. The customer portal will be inaccessible from 9 PM on October 4 to 6 AM on October 7. In addition, online bill payments will be disabled from 9 pm on October 4 to 11 am on October 5.
This downtime is part of the RAPDRP (Accelerated Power Development and Restructuring Restructuring Program) IT application upgrade which is a key component of the IPDS IT Phase-II project. The aim of the initiative is to improve IT infrastructure and improve the services provided across Bescom’s operational areas.

RAPDRP application is not available for operations like new connection process, name and tariff change, name transfer and temporary connections due to IT system upgrade. Also, the customer portal will not work for other services including Bescom Cash Counter Payment, new contacts, change of name and address.
Due to the RAPDRP service being unavailable, mobile requests will also be down. For more information, call the BESCOM helpline 1912 or visit the BESCOM website, BESCOM said in a statement.
