The Jagya Railway Police said liquor and beer cans were recovered from the upcoming Howrah Mokama Express and Sealdah Gorakhpur Summer Train. The railway police said that based on confidential information, a search operation was conducted for information on the smuggling of liquor on both trains.
During the search, 19 pieces of beer cans and 34 pieces of spirits of various brands were found. On the other hand, a large quantity of tin can beer was recovered from S7 of train number 03131 Sealdah Gorakhpur Summer Special Express. Police also arrested two liquor smugglers from this train. Jhaja Railway Station Superintendent Brind Kumar said further action is being taken by registering an FIR against the arrested liquor smuggler.
