Bengaluru-based EV manufacturer Ather Energy has launched its family electric scooter Ather Rizta. The company launched this scooter today (April 6) on the occasion of Community Day event held in Bengaluru. Ather Rizta is a new electric scooter with a new design after the company’s 450 series. The company claims that this flower will run up to 160 km on a charge.
Ather says that this is the electric scooter with the largest seat and the highest trunk space in the electric two-wheel segment. The scooter will have a total trunk volume of 56 liters. This includes 34 liters of trunk space under the seats and 22 liters in the front. Apart from this, the company has introduced a new Halo helmet, with the help of which features such as voice commands work.
Starting price Rs 1.10 lakh ex-showroom
Ather Rizta was introduced with 2 variants and 3 battery pack options. This includes RiztaS (2.9 kWh battery), RiztaZ (2.9 kWh battery) and RiztaZ (3.7 kWh battery). The starting price of the Rizta range is Rs 1,09,999 (ex-showroom Bengaluru). At the same time, the top variant is priced at Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom Bengaluru).
Ather Rizzta S was introduced in 3 monotone colors. At the same time, 7 color options will be available on the Rizzta Z, which include 3 monotone colors and 4 dual colors. The company started ordering electric scooters. Buyers can order it on the official website by paying Rs 999. The company says that the supply of the scooter will start from July 24. This e-scooter will compete with Ola S1 Pro, TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak.
Ather Rizta comes with an optional 5-year warranty plan. It also includes a battery warranty of up to 5 years/60,000 km through ‘Ather Battery Protect’. This warranty plan not only guarantees against damage to the battery, but also provides a guarantee that at least 70% battery integrity remains after the completion of 5 years.

Ather Rejta: design and hardware
Talking about the design of Ather Rizta, LED lighting system with LED indicators has been provided in its apron. There is no light in his handle. For better visibility, the light given in the apron itself rotates left and right.
Ather branding is available on the front. It has a button like a joystick. It has left, right, up and down buttons. It has a 7-inch touchscreen, which offers many smart connectivity features along with navigation.
A small backrest is provided on the grab rail at the back of the scooter. Below this bulbs like LED DRL are provided. Below that is the Ather branding. On the side of the scooter, a footrest was provided in the body itself for the pillion rider.
For a comfortable ride, the scooter has a double telescopic front suspension. At the same time, a mono-shock absorber is available at the rear. For braking, the Risetta has a disc brake on the front wheel and a drum brake on the rear. The scooter has two riding modes – Zip and Smart Eco. Apart from this, like the 450 series, ride assistance features like Magic Twist, Autohold and Reverse Mode are also provided on the Rizta.
Ather Ridge: Features
A multi-purpose charger with the power of 18W can also be installed in the underseat storage of the scooter, which can charge phones, tablets, portable speakers and other electronic devices.
Ather has introduced a skid control feature in the Rizta to prevent the scooter from skidding. This is Ather’s proprietary traction control system, which controls engine torque to reduce traction loss during acceleration on low friction surfaces such as sand, gravel, water or oil.
Apart from this, features like False Safe, Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Share Live Location, Theft and Tow Detect and Find My Scooter have been provided, which are also available in the Ather 450 series scooters.
The electric scooter comes with an IP66 waterproof rating.
