New Delhi: A hearing was held in the Supreme Court on Monday (September 30) regarding the Tirupati Laddu case. After hearing the argument of this case, the Supreme Court has taken a class to the Chandra Babu Naidu government in Andhra that God should at least be kept away from politics.

The Supreme Court on Monday questioned the Andhra Pradesh government on the Tirupati Prasad issue and suddenly questioned why there was a need to make a statement in the media when it was not clear that tainted ghee was being used in the preparation of Tirumala Laddu.

“We expect at least the gods to be kept out of politics,” the court asserted, telling counsel for the Andhra government that the laboratory reports indicated that the ghee tested was a rejected sample.

The Tirupati Laddu dispute case came up for hearing before a bench of Justice Bhushan R Gavai and Justice KV Viswanathan. At this time, the lawyer for Subramanian Swamy, the investigation revealed that the building materials were going to the kitchen without checking. He said that the system should be responsible for monitoring it, because it is an offering to God and sacred to the public and the faithful.

Responding to senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi, who appeared for the Andhra Pradesh government Chandrababu Naidu, Justice BR Gavai said, ‘When you hold a constitutional office, we expect you to keep God away from politics.’ He continued, ‘You have ordered the SIT. Why is it necessary to go to the press conference until the result? He asked bitterly.

Rohtagi said that these are not validity petitions, but an attempt by the previous administration to attack the present government. He said that TTD had issued a show cause notice to his person to know what kind of supplies he had.

Then, the Supreme Court asked, ‘What is the evidence that contaminated ghee was used in the preparation of laddus’? Advocate Siddharth Luthra, who argued for the Tirupati temple, told the bench, ‘We are investigating’. Then Justice Gavai said, ‘Then what was the need to go to a press conference straight in front of the media? You should respect religious sentiments’ he asked.

Then, when Siddharth Luthra told the court that people had complained that the laddus were tasteless, he asked, ‘Were the laddus of a different flavor sent to the laboratory to find out if they contained any contaminated material?’ ‘Doesn’t your sanity demand that you take a second opinion? Under normal circumstances, we seek a second opinion. There is no evidence that the ghee you mentioned was used,” said Justice Viswanathan.

Do you know what would happen if there were no crows on earth?

The court heard three petitions filed by senior BJP leader Subramanian Swamy, Rajya Sabha MP and former TTD president YV Subba Reddy and a third petition filed by historian Vikram Sampath and spiritual preacher Dushyant Sridhar.
