Asad Umar tenders unconditional apology to Lahore High Court Rawalpindi Bench – Public News
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Asad Umar has tendered an unconditional apology for the contempt of court case.
Lahore High Court Rawalpindi Bench Justice Jawad Hasan heard contempt of court notice issued to Secretary General PTI Asad Umer. Asad Umar had criticized the judiciary in his speech at a PTI rally in Rawalpindi on November 26. The court has asked for the video and copy of Asad Umar’s speech.
Asad Umar appeared in court today along with his lawyer Faisal Chaudhry on the order of the court. Asad Umar came to the meeting hall of the court and apologized unconditionally for his speech and said that we respect the judiciary and will continue.
Judge Jawad Hassan said that the problem is not contempt of court, but the allegations against institutions and individuals. The court dismissed the ongoing contempt of court notice against Asad Umar, seeking an unconditional apology from the PTI leader.
