Achi News,

Puber Kalam Webdesk: As much as in the yogi state. Bowls of dal, rice, vegetables kept on the floor of the toilet. Kabaddi players are taking food from there. As this video spread on social media, there was a storm of controversy. A three-day State Level U-17 Girls Kabaddi Tournament was organized at the Saharanpur District Stadium in Uttar Pradesh. Where about 200 contestants participated. The Uttar Pradesh government has sacked the district sports officer after a photo of food on the floor of a toilet complex at the Dr. Bhimrao Sports Stadium in Saharanpur came to light.

Saharanpur District Magistrate Akhilesh Singh said irregularities in the food served to the players had come to light. As a result, District Sports Officer Animesh Saxena has been sacked. An inquiry has been ordered into the matter. And a report will also be submitted within two-three days, he said.

Most of the participating players said that after cooking in a brick oven, the rice is lifted in a big plate and placed near the gate of the toilet. There was also a leftover puri on a paper near the rice plate. Everyone is served lunch from there. A player, who did not wish to be named, said, “A big plate filled with rice is brought from the oven and placed in front of the toilet gate. The puri left on the side of the plate is placed on a piece of paper. From there, the players are allowed to eat lunch with rice.”

On the other hand, after this video went viral, the opposition also single handedly took the ruling party BJP. Congress on its Twitter handle wrote that Kabaddi players in UP are being given food kept in toilets. The BJP government earmarked all the money to spend on their false propaganda. But they don’t have the money to provide good facilities to our sportspersons, this is a scandalous and shameful incident. On the other hand, after the video went viral, Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi also strongly protested this incident and said “We cannot provide basic facilities to our sportspersons but hope they are a part of the state/nation. will win a medal for.” Those involved in this incident should be sacked immediately.
