Indo Amines Ltd. is located barely 300 meters away from the site of the previous disaster, which occurred at Amudan Chemicals Pvt Ltd, which caused multiple explosions that resulted in a huge fire on May 23. The same incident claimed more than a dozen lives and injured more than 60.
“Many people panicked and remembered the similar explosion that happened here three weeks ago…” said an eyewitness. “Several shopkeepers lowered their shutters and frightened residents ran to the streets.”
