Lahore (Newsdesk) The Provincial Development Working Group has not approved the remaining area in the ring road project, while another four billion rupees have been released for payments in the project.
The overall progress on the project has been 28%, currently the process of NOC for the bridge at Kalam railway station is going on.
The ring road project will now go to the Central Development Working Group where it will be presented in Eknik after approval.
During the visit of the Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, to the ring road project, NESPAK, PMU and FWO officials had said while giving a briefing session that the Rawalpindi ring road project has started in September 2023.
All construction will be completed by February 2025.
The structures along the road have been removed for the construction of the 38.3 km long Rawalpindi Ring Road.
The removal of incoming utility services in the right of way is ongoing.
