According to the information, a squadron flying from Bid, the world famous parachute site of Kangra, died after falling while paragliding. Airman Ritu Chopra, wife of Ashutosh Chopra, was a resident of G-34, Sector 25 Noida (Uttar Pradesh). Her husband Ashutosh is a wing commander in the Indian Air Force.
It is said that this couple has been coming to Bid for the past six years and has been enjoying paragliding. He arrived in Beida in Byinat just two days ago. Meanwhile, on Sunday, a husband and wife took off from Bid in separate paragliders, but shortly after takeoff, the woman lost control of the parachute and fell on the hill near a village called Sansal. The husband saw the wife fall. He immediately landed and informed the Bainat police, the local government and his colleagues from the Indian Air Force. In a short time, the Air Force helicopter arrived on the scene and during the rescue operation the woman was removed from the hill and taken to Beinath Hospital.

Doctors pronounced the woman dead at the hospital. After that, the husband took the woman’s body to Noida in an Air Force helicopter. Baijnath police station DSP Purna Chand Thukral said the cause of the accident is being investigated. Around 12:55 on Sunday afternoon, the husband and wife took off from Bid in separate paragliders.
Frequent accidents
Paragliding is done in many places in Himachal Pradesh including Kangra and Kulu. Earlier, on February 11, an accident also occurred at the Dobhi paragliding site in Kulu. Here the woman died after falling from a height during the flight. During the woman’s flight, the rope came loose and she fell on the roof of a house. This 26-year-old tourist came to visit with her husband.
