On Monday, Barhi police station commander Shailendra Singh Yadav said the informant received information that marijuana saplings had been planted in the fields on the banks of the river Baran Mahgwa Umdar. The police have arrested Sheetal Prasad Tiwari (63), who lives in Baran Mahgawan village, on the charge of planting ganja trees. The police have also seized about four kilos and two hundred grams of ganja worth Rs 42 thousand. Action was taken against the accused under the NDPS Act.
