An elderly woman died after drowning in a pool in Nalanda on Friday. The deceased has been identified as Pyari Devi, 85-year-old wife of late Jandhari Kwat, resident of Vishunpur village.

The family said Payari Devi went towards the fields to defecate. When she did not return to her home, a search was conducted. The body was pulled from the pool after about 3 hours. The matter is in Vishonpur village in Bind police station area.
Crowds of villagers gathered there.
A UD case was registered
The family members express concern that while fetching water, the elderly woman’s feet may have slipped and she entered deep water. Because of this he died.
Bind Station Station Commander Roshan Kumar said that on receiving information about the body being found in the water, the police reached the spot, took possession of the body and sent it to Bihar Sharif Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. By registering a UD case, the police started taking further steps.
