Kolkata: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is already on the campaign trail for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. He held a meeting in North Bengal’s Cooch Behar last week. Union Home Minister Amit Shah is coming to the state this time. Meeting Amit Shah in Buniyadpur from South Dinajpur tomorrow Wednesday at 11 am. Amit Shah kicks off the campaign for the Lok Sabha polls in Buniyadpur.
According to BJP sources, Amit Shah will start election campaign from North Bengal on April 10. It should be noted that Amit Shah started campaigning for Seva Lok Sabha polls from Alipurduar ground in 2019. In Lok Sabha elections 2019, BJP won Balurghat seat by the hand of Sukant Majumder. He has been trusting him this time too. Voting in the first phase of Lok Sabha elections on April 19 will be held in three constituencies in the state – Cooch Behar, Alipurduar and Jalpaiguri. Shah’s visit to Bengal before that is undoubtedly considered significant.
Incidentally, earlier Amit Shah came to Bengal and set the target of winning seats in the Lok Sabha elections. BJP will win 35 out of 42 seats. This is what the Union Home Minister claimed.
