A youth from Punjab died tragically in an accident in Ambala Cantt, Haryana. The accident occurred due to sudden braking of the vehicle near the Kali Paltan bridge. The deceased has been identified as Gurpreet Singh, a resident of Kharajpura, Punjab. Gurpreet with his uncle on different bikes

Bachitar Singh, a resident of Jandauli (Rajpura), Punjab, said that his friend Kulwant Singh, a resident of Suro village, Patiala district, and his nephew Gurpreet Singh, a resident of Kharajpur village, also used to sell coats, along with him. On Thursday, the three of them were returning to Punjab from Kurukshetra on their respective bikes.
The car suddenly applied brakes, the bike collided
As soon as they reached near Kali Paltan bridge in Ambala Cantt, the vehicle bearing Jammu Kashmir number (JK 12 C-9631) suddenly applied brakes. Within no time, Gurpreet’s bike collided with the car. In the accident, his nephew suffered serious injuries to his mouth, nose and head. With the help of passers-by, he took his nephew to Civil Hospital, Ambala city.
He died in Chandigarh
From here the doctors referred his nephew to GMCH Sector-32, Chandigarh. Gurpreet Singh died last night during treatment here. Padav police station has registered a case against the accused driver under sections 279 and 304 A and started investigation.
