Former IAS Ajay Singh has taken over as the fifth commissioner of the Chhattisgarh Election Commission. 1983 batch IAS officer Ajay Singh retired from government service in February 2020.

It is worth noting that before his appointment as Election Commissioner in Chhattisgarh, he served as the Deputy Chairman of the State Planning Commission. After being released from there, he assumed the post of State Election Commissioner on Tuesday.
