Ajay Devgan will be seen in the film Maidaan in the coming time. The director of the film Amit Ravindranath Sharma has recently revealed that he was hesitant in casting Ajay Devgan in the film. He could not imagine Ajay in any other role other than Singham.
The director said there was doubt in Ajay’s casting
In an interview given to The Indian Express, Rabindranath Sharma said – I had never worked with Ajay Devgan before. Because of this I had doubts whether he was the perfect choice for the field or not. You create an image of an actor in your mind. His image in my mind was that of Singham. However, Ajay broke this illusion with his acting.
Ajay worked hard initially in the role
Rabindranath Sharma further said that he witnessed Ajay Devgan’s complete transformation during the shoot. He said- When we met, Ajay Devgan used to stand in his own swag. But at the end of the shooting, he started posing as Syed (his character’s name in the film). Singham was completely out of character.
Ajay was so comfortable with his work that he even wore loose clothing to adapt to the coach’s look. It’s a big thing for an actor to do this. The reason is that these people are very conscious of their appearance.

The film will be released on April 10
The film Maidan is a biopic of football coach Syed Abdul Rahim. Syed Abdul Rahim had dedicated his entire life to football and also brought many achievements to India. Ajay Devgan has played his character in the film.
Along with Ajay Devgan, the film also stars Priyamani and Gajrao Rao in lead roles. This film will be released in theaters on 10 April 2024 on the occasion of Eid.
