A Nanaimo man already facing child pornography charges in BC has been accused of sexually assaulting a teenager in Airdrie, Alta.
Callum Tanner Stewart, 29, has been charged with sexual assault, luring a child and failing to comply with a release order.
Airdrie RCMP announced the charges on Friday.
In BC, Stewart is before the courts for possession and distribution of child pornography.
Mounties out of Airdrie conducted an investigation on June 12 regarding the sexual assault of a youth and ultimately found that the youth was lured through social media.
A Justice of the Peace has decided that Stewart will remain in custody.
He is next scheduled to appear in court in Calgary on June 24.
