DC Manjunath, Consul General of India in Houston, received the award on behalf of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) at the inaugural function of the annual Space Symposium in Colorado. This is the Space Foundation’s largest award in the US.

“India’s leadership in space is an inspiration to the world,” Space Institute CEO Heather Pringle said in a statement in January. We look forward to seeing what you do in the coming days”.

India launched Mission Chandrayaan 3 in August last year. ISRO scientists wrote their name in the pages of history by soft landing on the south pole of the moon.
