Accused of making money from animal cruelty videos, the case against YouTube has been decided

Leading video sharing website YouTube has won a lawsuit from an organization working for animal rights.

According to Arab media reports, an animal rights organization accused YouTube of making a profit by using videos of animal cruelty on the platform.

In the London court, the judge said that Google’s parent company, Alphabet Inc., falls under Section 230 of the Federal Communications Decency Act of the United States.

Section 230 of the Federal Communications Decency Act protects a company from legal action based on content posted by ‘users’ on the Internet.

Keep in mind that YouTube is also a platform of Google’s Alphabet Inc. company.

The judgment clarified that in the context of Section 230, no action can be taken against a company under any state or local law on the basis of any material inconsistent therewith.

It should be noted that a case was filed against YouTube by Lady Freethinker, an organization working for animal rights last year, alleging that the YouTube company posted videos of animal cruelty on its platform. Don’t remove them and make money by placing ads with them.

The allegations made by the organization said that there are some videos on YouTube in which dragons can be seen attacking baby animals.
