Politics intensified following the arrest of TMC leaders who were protesting outside the Election Commission office in the state capital Delhi. In this regard, senior Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Abhishek Banerjee has come to meet West Bengal Governor CV Anand Bose. Abhishek Banerjee, who reached the Raj Bhavan, submitted a complaint to Governor CV Anand Bose against the arrest of leaders in Delhi.

TMC sources said that the 11-member delegation along with Banerjee reached the Governor’s residence around 9 pm. Where did he meet Governor CV Anand Bose.

Let us inform that earlier in the day, a 10-member TMC delegation arrived in the capital Delhi to meet the full bench of the Election Commission (EC) regarding its complaint against the central agencies. After the meeting, they began to demonstrate outside the Commission’s office. When the police tried to remove them, they protested. Many leaders were subsequently arrested. A few videos of this have also been uploaded. Meanwhile, TMC leader O’Brien said he will continue his protest from the police station itself. He said our 24-hour strike will continue. We will continue this whether we are inside or outside the police station.

The TMC leaders arrested by the Delhi Police include TMC MPs Derek O’Brien, Mohammad Nadeemul Haque, Dhola Sen, Scott Gokhal and Sagarika Ghosh, MLA Vivek Gupta, former MPs Arpita Ghosh, Shantanu Sen and Abir Ranjan Biswaz and the party. Sudeep. Raha, Vice President of West Bengal Students’ Union.

In the videos that surfaced, it can be seen that the TMC leaders were holding placards opposing the central agencies. In which slogans were written against central agencies like CBI, ED and NIA. There was also a demand to replace the directors of these agencies.

The ruling party in West Bengal has consistently claimed that central investigative agencies are targeting opposition parties at the behest of the BJP-led Centre. Before leaving for Delhi, Sen made serious allegations against BJP. He said BJP is misusing central agencies against us. The way NIA, ED and CBI are operating and targeting TMC leaders is shameful. We will ask the election committee to ensure a level playing field for all parties.
