GUWAHATI: Directorate of Vigilance and Prevention of Corruption, Assam, arrested Subodh Das, sub-officer of Peleshbari-Boko-Chigaon territorial sub-division in Kamrup, on Saturday, September 21, for accepting bribe of ₹15,000.

The arrest followed a complaint alleging that Das demanded ₹22,000 for processing bills, and later reduced the amount.
Following the complaint, the board laid a trap and caught Das red-handed. The bribe money was seized and seized in the presence of witnesses.
