On Tuesday morning, a speeding truck crushed the crane driver at Balwa Chowk of Kotwa police station area in Motihari. As a result, they both died on the spot. The deceased have been identified as Irbaz Alam of Pipra Kothi police station area and Prithviraj of Panditpur.

The incident began when a vehicle loaded with milk overturned on the side of the road. Where a crane was called to lift this vehicle, but due to a sudden technical fault in the crane, it stopped near Bhangra Chowk. While both the driver and co-driver got off the crane and began to repair it, a speeding truck hit them hard.
A truck crashes into a pole after a collision
After the collision, the truck hit a power pole, as a result of which both died on the spot. After receiving information about the incident, a huge crowd of villagers gathered at the place. Immediately upon receiving the information, the Kotwa police arrived at the scene and sent the bodies for post-mortem. Due to this accident, there was a traffic jam on NH-27, which was later handled by the police.
The police were investigating
Kotwa Station Superintendent Raj Rup Rai said information was received that the driver and co-driver of the crane died after being hit by a truck. They arrived at the scene, took control of the body and began further operations.
