According to the information, CISF and ED have uncovered a big racket by conducting a joint operation at Gujarat Airport. Major steps have been taken at the airport in Gujarat. A huge amount of foreign currency has been recovered from an Indian citizen who returned from Singapore. The detained person has been identified as Tejas Patel. The accused was detained after CISF found foreign currency while checking passengers. Since the investigation is a foreign exchange matter, CISF also informed the investigating agency ED about it. After this, the ED team reached the airport and started investigating the case.

The goods had come to India from Bangladesh, going to Gwalior via Gaya, so much gold had been found in the Creta car that even the officials were amazed.

CISF sources have given information about the recovery of foreign currency at the airport. The detained person, Tejas Patel, told CISF that he had gone to Delhi from Singapore. After that he has come to Ahmedabad. The investigating agency ED is investigating this matter in detail. The investigating agency is trying to find out for what purpose such a large amount of foreign currency was brought to India. Efforts are also being made to find out its source.

Actions can be taken under FEMA
Sources say that action may be taken against the accused Tejas Patel under the provisions of FEMA. ED can take further action by registering a case against the accused under FEMA Act. A few days ago, the Customs Department had seized a large amount of gold while operating at the Jaipur Airport. The Customs Department team had caught a smuggler with 1.5 kg of gold, and the smuggler had cleverly hidden the gold paste in his socks. The department is now investigating the matter of where he brought the gold and what he wanted to do with it. Even before this, cases of gold smuggling have come to light several times at Jaipur Airport.
