Guwahati: An incident took place in Garchuk area of ​​Guwahati on April 9 when a minor was abducted from his house around 11 am. The victim’s mother, Sangita Gogoi Baruah, immediately took action, rushing to the Garchuk police station to file a report.

Using mobile network tracking, the suspect, identified as Pavitra Das, was nabbed around 4:30 pm near Azra. This quick action led to the safe recovery of the kidnapped minor.
In a conversation with GPlus, an official from the Garchuk police station said, "The accused was known to the victim’s family. The motive behind the abduction has not been clarified as a preliminary assessment is still in place. Das, who is currently in police custody, will be transferred for further legal proceedings."
