DOCTOR WHO fans have been left fuming after the BBC announced that episodes will be shown at MIDNIGHT on Fridays to provide an American service scouts
The beloved show has been relegated to the graveyard slot thanks to a multi-million pound deal with US streaming giant Disney+.
As a result, it will be broadcast to US viewers at the family-friendly time of 7pm – which has sparked outrage among British viewers.
The BBC will then air the new episodes again in the show’s traditional primetime slot on Saturday night, according to The Mail on Sunday.
Fans have slammed the Beeb for selling out the show’s UK fans at home in favor of American audiences.
One of the tiniest on X, formerly known as Twitter: “Absolutely outraged that Doctor Who is being released at midnight.
“It should be on BBC One in its normal timeslot first.
Another added: “Disney viewers in the US get and will receive the highest priority [the show] at an acceptable time and will not have to avoid spoilers”.
A BBC spokesman declined to comment when contacted by The Mail on Sunday.
The new way to schedule the series will begin on May 10 when Disney+ will air two new episodes.
