On the fourth Monday of the month of Sawan, a crowd of lakhs of devotees has gathered at Lodheshwar Mahadeva. Devotees reach the temple on foot carrying Kavad in huge numbers, and the entire fair area echoes with “Har-Har Bam-Bam” chants.

Kanwariyas from Kanpur, Unnao, Lucknow and the surrounding areas have traveled for several days on foot to reach the Lodheshwar Mahadeva Temple, where they perform Jalabhishek on Lord Shiva’s Shivalinga.
From the main gate of the famous pilgrimage site Lodheshwar Dham Mahadeva temple located three kilometers away from Ramnagar tehsil to the sanctum sanctorum, there has been a flood of faith of Shiva devotees since this morning. The temple complex echoes with “Har-Har Bam-Bam Bhole” chants.

Offers Roli, Chandan, Akshat, Belpatra
Devotees perform Jalabhishek on Shivalinga of Lord Lodheshwar Mahadev and they also pray for fulfillment of their wishes by worshiping with Roli, Chandan, Akshat, Belpatra, Bhang, Dhatura, sweets and liquids.
Hundreds of local and distant devotees are eager to have darshan at the sanctum sanctorum of Lodheshwar Mahadev. In view of this crowd and faith, the police administration has made detailed arrangements regarding security arrangements.
A barricade has been made around the temple, and more than 300 policemen have been deployed. Police women and diver sailors are also used in the security arrangements, so that no devotee of Shiva faces any kind of problem.
The police administration is fully prepared and taking all the necessary steps for the convenience and safety of the devotees.
Devotees also worship Nandi by doing Jalabhishek on Shivalinga.
