The deceased has been identified as Zaheer Hussain, 60-year-old son of Hussain Aju, a resident of Ward No. 9 of Manikpur in Basantpur Panchayat. According to the information received regarding the incident, around 10 o’clock in the morning on Tuesday, a dispute broke out over some issue while joking between the son of the deceased, Nabi Hussain and Ahmed’s son in the field of Manipur in the area of ​​the police station in Irgachi. The dispute escalated to such an extent that Ahmed Hussain, his wife and his four sons arrived at the house of the deceased Zahir and began to beat Zahir severely. When they heard the commotion, the local people arrived and tried to calm both sides. Zahir was seriously injured from the beating. The doctor on duty at Sadar Hospital announced the death of the injured Mohammad Zahir.
After the incident, a large number of local people, including the deceased’s family members, began arriving at Sadr Hospital. Regarding the issue, Bairagachi Police Station Commander Julie Kumari said that after receiving information about the incident, a police team was dispatched to the spot, the body was taken into custody and sent for post-mortem.
