Sunolta demands that the orders of the Ministry of Justice to cancel the state registration of the company’s ownership rights to the grain terminal in the port of Odesa are recognized as illegal. This is reported by USM, writes agronews.ua.

The decision of the Ministry of Justice to cancel the state registration of Sunolta’s ownership rights to the terminal in the port of Odesa is “a serious violation of the rule of law,” the company said.

Therefore, Sunolta accuses the Ministry of Justice of violating the principles of the rule of law, as well as the fact that their actions “have all the signs of corruption crimes in favor of raiders.”

It will be recalled that last year Sunolta group of companies acquired the capacity to transship grain cargoes at the terminal at the Odesa Sea Trade Port. Actually, we are talking about a part of port logistics facilities and equipment that belonged to the GNT Group company and promised by the Ukrainian banks “Pivdenny” and “Vostok” for debt obligations.

In December 2022, a legal dispute began between GNT Group and its creditors, Argentem Creek Partners (ACP) and Innovatus Capital Partners. The parties announced possible interventions in the grain terminal, which endangered the transportation of Sunolta agricultural products in the port of Odesa. The group then decided to expand the export potential at the expense of its own logistics capabilities.

Almost a year later, after all possible time limits had expired, the Ministry of Justice received two complaints from ACP representatives for consideration to cancel the registration of Sunolta group companies of the rights to the purchased property.

According to the statement, due to this decision by the officials, the stable operation of the grain port terminal was at stake. So far, the court has decided to prohibit the implementation of the orders of the Ministry of Justice until the case is considered.
