Before the opening ceremony of IPL-2024, a rehearsal of the laser light show was held at the Chepauk Stadium.
Singer AR Rahman, Sonu Nigam and Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff will perform at the opening ceremony of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. IPL gave this information on Wednesday. The ceremony will be held at 6:30 pm on March 22 in Chennai before the match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
Last season, actress Tamannaah Bhatia and singer Arijit Singh had performed at the opening ceremony.
Many big stars have performed
Earlier, Bollywood stars Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan and American singers Pitbull, Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor and Deepika Padukone have also performed in IPL.

List of 21 matches of IPL 2024
The schedule of 21 matches of Indian Premier League-2024 was released last month. Due to the general elections, this season’s complete schedule has not yet been released.
The first match of this season will be played on March 22 between the defending champions Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Chepauk Stadium.
In the first stage, the timetable between March 22 and April 7 has been declared. During this period, 21 matches will be played in 17 days, which will include 4 double headers (two matches in a day).
CSK had won the last title, defeating GT by 5 wickets
The title of the last season of the IPL was won by Chennai Super Kings under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The team had defeated Gujarat Titans by 5 wickets in the last match in Ahmedabad. CSK and MI have won 5 titles each in this tournament.
