Team India captain Rohit Sharma was spotted with Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Hardik Pandya for the first time in the camp. The two hugged each other during training.
Mumbai Indians replaced Rohit Sharma and made Hardik Pandya the captain. Ahead of the 2024 season auction, the franchise traded Hardik to Gujarat for Rs 15 crore and made him captain in place of Rohit Sharma. Since then, discussions were underway about the rift between the two.
On the other hand, Mumbai Indians have included South African under-19 player Kwena Mafaka in the team in place of the injured Sri Lankan driver Dilshan Madushanka. Mafaka, aged 17, shone in the under 19 World Cup held this year. Left-arm pacer Mafaka took a total of 21 wickets in the 2024 Under-19 World Cup.
Mafaka bowls at a speed of 140 KMPH.
Sandeep Warrier joins GT in place of Shami
Gujarat Titans (GT) has announced that he will replace the injured Mohammed Shami. In place of Shami, the team has given right-arm pacer Sandeep Warrier a chance. Warrior has also played one T-20 match for the Indian team.
Sandeep has played for MI, RCB and KKR in IPL.

KL Rahul joins the team
On Wednesday, KL Rahul joined Lucknow Super Giants camp. On Wednesday morning, Rahul visited the Mahakal temple in Ujjain, after which he left for Lucknow.

Willie will not play the opening game
England fast bowler David Willey will not play in the opening matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 due to personal reasons. Willey is part of the Lucknow Supergiants (LSG) team this season. Lucknow had added him to the team in the December auction last year for a base price of Rs 2 crore. Lucknow head coach Justin Langer gave this information on Wednesday.
Ahead of IPL 2024, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) launched the team’s second jersey (green jersey) at an event on Wednesday, March 20. Earlier on February 19, a regular jersey was also launched.
Mark Wood will not play either
Willey will be the second England player to be unavailable for LSG. Earlier, in view of the T20 World Cup, ECB had refused to allow Mark Wood to play. West Indies fast bowler Shamar Joseph has been included in the squad in place of Wood, but Willey’s replacement has yet to be selected.
Lucknow had added Willey to the team in the mini auction held in December for a base price of Rs 2 crore.
Kohli, Plessis and Mandhana launched jerseys
Earlier, on March 19, Kohli had launched the new jersey with RCB women’s team captain Smriti Mandhana and men’s team captain Faf du Plessis. According to the franchise, the new jersey represents a connection and philosophy with the fans.

List of 21 matches of IPL 2024
The schedule of 21 matches of Indian Premier League-2024 was released last month. Due to the general elections, the complete schedule of this season has not been released yet. The first match of this season will be played on March 22 between the defending champions Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Chepauk Stadium. The first leg will be play between March 22 and April 7. The schedule has been announced. During this period, 21 matches will be played in 17 days, which will include 4 double headers (two matches in a day).
