Cybercrime: Doctor’s cyber fraud of Rs 1 crore Achi-News

Pune : Leader News Service : Fraud is on the rise due to fear of police action. Money is extorted from citizens on the pretext of finding narcotics, foreign currency in courier packages sent from abroad. Similarly, it was revealed that a doctor in Baner district was cheated of one crore one lakh 30,000 rupees by cyber thieves.

A doctor has filed a complaint at the Shivajinagar police station. According to the complaint given by him, the police have registered a case under the Information Technology Act against the cyber thieves. This event took place online between 1 and 7 March. The thieves contacted the mobile phone number of the plaintiff doctor. A parcel has been sent by a shipping company from overseas in your name. The wallet has been seized at the Mumbai airport. Five passports, drugs, foreign currency, a laptop were found in the wallet.
The robbers pretended to the prosecutors that Mumbai Crime Branch officials were speaking and that they had to appear at the Crime Branch office in order to conduct an investigation immediately.

The thieves had used the Mumbai Police insignia on their social media accounts. The thieves said they want to check your bank account and immediately deposit the cash in the private bank in the government bank. After that the thieves stole one crore one lakh 30,000 rupees from the account. Meanwhile, after the incident, the plaintiffs tried to contact the cyber thieves, but by then they had switched off their mobile connections. Police Inspector Anil Mane is conducting further investigation.
