Alipurduar: In the spring, the people of the Gorkha tribe organize Sangsari Puja. Nature is worshiped during this puja. Prayers are prayed for the protection of wild animals.

Gorkha people perform this puja in hilly areas. This puja is organized on the banks of the Gobarjyoti river at Khoklabasti on the border of Bhutan. The tradition of performing this puja in the month of Chaitra has been going on for years.
There is no rule to perform this puja locally. The puja takes place across the area in front of the forest. Although not in front of the forest, this puja is held by the river. Gorkhas perform this puja by offering a pair of chickens and a pair of ducks. They are also released after the puja. Banana leaves are also used as an offering material made from various fruits. The priest of this puja said that this puja was performed by three men in the hilly area. The health of every person in the area is wished through the puja. By performing this puja, the village is saved from the epidemic.
