Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the ‘Startup Mahakumbh’ organized at Bharat Mandapam today ie on 20 March. During this, the PM saw the products and innovation exhibition organized by the start-up company.
Addressing the programme, PM Modi said that India is the third largest startup market in the world, which is led by the youth of our country.
We are now in a new era related to AI technology. Modi said, ‘I take a lot of help from AI, when there is a language problem in the election campaign, then I take the help of AI to convey my message to the people in every language.’
More than 2000 startups are participating in Startup Maakumbh
Startup Mahakumbh is India’s largest startup event and the first of its kind. In this regard, more than 2000 startups, more than 1000 investors, more than 100 unicorns, more than 300 incubators and accelerators from all over the country participate in their ideas.
In addition, more than 3000 delegates, delegations from more than 10 countries, more than 3000 entrepreneurs of the future and more than 50,000 commercial visitors have participated.

- India’s startup ecosystem is growing at an unprecedented rate. The country provided a platform to innovative ideas under the Startup India campaign and connected them with funding sources.
- Our startup ecosystem is not limited to just big metro cities. India’s startup revolution is being led by the country’s small-town youth.
- There are more than 1.25 lakh startups in India. Of these, 110 have become unicorns.
- Young people thinking of ideas in all areas. They work with the minimum requirements and this has increased its strength. These are dreams, this is power.
- PM Modi said that more than 45% of our startups are led by women. No one can estimate this power.
Zeroda and Zomato also joined
Zeroda and the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) are involved in organizing the event at the Bharat Mandapam, along with states across Bihar, Rajasthan, Meghalaya, Karnataka and Kerala.
The program is organized by Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), Zomato and Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India (ECGC). The state of Uttar Pradesh is the partner state for this event at Startup Mahakumbh.

What is initiation?
A Startup is an entity that innovates, develops, deploys or commercializes a new product or service through technology or intelligence. In terms of business, an entity which has not been registered in India for more than five years and whose annual turnover does not exceed ₹ 25 crore in any financial year.
Startup India is a major initiative of the Government of India. It was started by PM Modi in 2015. It aims to develop a strong ecosystem for new businesses and new ideas in the country. Through this, the government wants to create the economic development of the country and employment opportunities on a large scale.
