Pen Puber, web desk: Before the end of Holi, the Meteorological Department again sounded the message of stormy rain across the state. Due to two or two westerly storms, the campaign will start again. A yellow alert for rain and thundershowers has been issued since Sunday in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, West and East Rajasthan. Besides, there is a warning of heavy rain over Punjab, Bihar to West Bengal, Sikkim and Sub-Himalayan region of Arunachal Pradesh.
The weather office said thundershowers are expected in South Bengal including Kolkata on Tuesday.
According to the Meteorological Department, a cyclone is located in and around Northeast Assam. It has spread from north-west Bihar to south-east Assam to north Bangladesh. Due to its impact, rainfall will continue between March 26 and March 29 in the foothills of the Western Himalayas.
