The names of the candidates are decided at the Congress Election Committee meeting.
The Congress announced the names of five candidates on Monday (25 March). There are four candidates from Rajasthan and one from Tamil Nadu. Prahlad Gunjal from Kota, Ramchandra Chaudhary from Ajmer, Sudarshan Singh Rawat from Rajsamand and Damodar Gurjar from Bhilwara have been given tickets.
Gunjal has been close to Rajasthan BJP leader and former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje. He was MLA from Kota North twice, but lost the last assembly election. The Congress is expected to gain from the Hadoti district by leaving the BJP and joining the Congress.
Apart from this, the Congress has today declared C Robert Bruce as its candidate from Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu. So far the Congress has announced 190 candidates across the country.
The Congress had announced the names of three candidates on Sunday (24 March). There are two candidates from Rajasthan and one from Maharashtra. Pratap Singh Khachariyawas got the ticket from Jaipur in Rajasthan. Sunil Sharma got the ticket before Jaipur. Whereas, Murari Lal Meena has been made a candidate from Dausa.
Congress has given ticket to Pratibha Dhanorkar from Chandrapur seat in Maharashtra. Pratibha’s husband Suresh Dhanorkar won the Chandrapur seat in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Suresh died in May last year. The Congress had announced 45 names on March 23.

The Congress released the fourth list for the Lok Sabha elections late on Saturday (23 March). It contains 45 names from 11 states and 2 union territories. Nagaur is one of the three seats of Rajasthan in this list. The Congress has left it to its ally RLP.
