Former Delhi minister Satyendar Jain to surrender in Tihar jail after Supreme Court order.
Following the Supreme Court order, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and former Delhi government minister Satyendar Jain surrendered in Tihar Jail on Monday, March 18. Jain was on medical bail since May 26, 2023.
Satyendar Jain’s regular bail plea was heard in the Supreme Court on Monday. The court rejected Jain’s bail plea and ordered him to surrender immediately.
In the money laundering case, a bench of Justice AS Bopanna and Justice Bela M Trivedi had heard Satyendra’s bail plea and co-accused Ankush Jain.
On September 25, the court had extended Satyendra’s interim bail till October 9. In the last hearing it was said that his lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi would not be able to appear in the court due to important work. In such a situation, the court had extended the interim bail on medical grounds.
ED had arrested Satyendra Jain on 30 May 2022 in connection with the money laundering case. ED had alleged that he was laundering money through four companies linked to him. It was also alleged that the money received through shell companies was used to buy land or repay loans taken for buying agricultural land in and around Delhi.
Sisodia and Sanjay Singh also arrested in the case, Kejriwal also issued 9 summons
After Satyendra Jain, ED also arrested Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh in the Delhi Liquor Policy scam. Apart from this, ED has also sent summons to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal 9 times for questioning in the case. Kejriwal is yet to appear before the investigating agency. Jain had reached the hospital thrice in a week
These pictures were taken while taking Jain from Deendayal Upadhyay Hospital to Lok Narayan Jai Prakash Hospital.
On the morning of 25 May 2023, AAP leader Satyendar Jain slipped and fell in the bathroom of Tihar Jail. He was admitted to Deendayal Upadhyay Hospital. After his condition worsened in the afternoon, he was shifted to Loknayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital (LNJP) and kept on oxygen support.
This was the third time in a week that Jain had reached the hospital. Earlier on May 22, he was taken to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi. Then he had problems with his spine. On May 20 also, he was brought to Deendayal Hospital due to the same problem.

3. Two prisoners kept in Satyendra’s cell, warning to the Superintendent
In November last year, some videos had surfaced from Satyendar Jain’s cell inside Tihar Jail, where he was seen taking a body massage.
On the request of former Delhi minister Satyendar Jain, the Tihar Prisons Administration has sent a show cause notice to the Jail Superintendent for sending two prisoners to his cell. In fact, Jain had asked the Superintendent of Jail No. 7 that he was suffering from depression due to loneliness.
