An important meeting was held between India and Kazakhstan on challenges related to terrorism, where the issues of cross-border terrorism in South Asia, state-sponsored terrorism and terrorism in areas other than Afghanistan-Pakistan were also discussed. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs gave this information by issuing a statement. This meeting took place in Astana, Kazakhstan. From the Indian side, the meeting was chaired by KD Deval, Joint Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs. The Kazakhstan team was led by Talget Klive, Ambassador of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan. This was the fifth meeting this year between the two countries’ joint working group on terrorism.

India-Luxembourg meeting held in Delhi

The second official meeting of the State Department took place between India and Luxembourg. This meeting was held in Delhi on Tuesday. In this meeting, along with the bilateral relations between the two countries, the mutual benefits of the India-Europe Free Trade Agreement were also discussed. The two countries expressed happiness at the growing economic cooperation between the two countries, and also agreed to increase cooperation in areas such as finance, steel, space, IT, innovation, start-up, manufacturing, health, renewable energy. Plans to jointly deal with climate change were also discussed between the two countries. From the Indian side, the meeting was led by Pawan Kapoor, Secretary (West), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and from the Luxembourg side, Jean Olinger, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs there.

India’s alert regarding the safety of Indians in Israel

India’s ambassador to Israel, Sanjeev Singla, met on Wednesday with the Israeli Minister of Labor, Yaakov Ben Zur. In this meeting, bilateral relations and the issue of the safety of Indian workers working in Israel were discussed. The first group of Indian workers arrived in Israel as part of the agreement between the governments of the two countries. The Government of India appealed to the Government of Israel to take seriously the safety of the Indian workers. Some time ago, the recruitment of 10,000 Indian workers to Israel began at Maharishi Dayan University, located in Rohtak, Haryana. On April 4, Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said that 4,000 Indian workers are in Israel. The Indian Embassy in Israel is in continuous contact with these workers and is vigilant about their safety.
