The Haryana government has dealt a major blow to the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (HSGMC). The government has frozen all government and private bank accounts of HSGMC until further orders. In the letter issued by ACS Haryana, the Superintendent, Gurdwara Elections has given clear instructions to the zonal managers of banks in this regard. It was stated in the letter that financial transactions should not be made from all HSGMC bank accounts from all branches of the bank.

This decision was taken under the order issued by the Punjab-Haryana High Court.
