Durg (Chhattisgarh): 11 people died and 20 others were injured when a bus fell into a mine in Durg district of Chhattisgarh on Tuesday. Police officials gave this information.
Officials said 11 people traveling in the vehicle died and 20 others were injured after the bus fell into a morum (red earth) mine near Hafri village under the Kumhari police station area.
He said that the Kadia Distilleries bus located in the Kumhari area left with the workers and about 30 workers were on board the bus. Officials said the incident occurred at 8:30 pm on Tuesday night when the bus reached near Khafri village and went out of control and fell into a 40-feet deep Morum mine.
According to the police, after receiving information about the incident, a police team was sent to the scene and rescue operations began.
According to him, the bodies and the injured were sent to the hospital and efforts are being made to rescue the bus from the mine.
