New Delhi, Leading News Service: Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar has been given Z category security ahead of Lok Sabha elections 2024. Accordingly, Chief Election Commissioner Rajeev Kumar will be accompanied by armed commandos during his tour across the country. This security has been provided as per the reports of intelligence agencies.
According to the sources, “The Union Home Ministry has directed the Central Reserve Police Force to provide the necessary personnel for the security of Rajiv Kumar. It is understood that this decision has been taken in view of the possible threats during the Lok elections Upcoming Sabha Necessary security will be provided to Rajeev Kumar during his travels across the country, at his office in Delhi as well as at his home.
A total of 22 security personnel along with Central Reserve Police Force commandos will be deployed for the security of Rajiv Kumar. This will include NSG commandos and the police. Rajeev Kumar’s residence will have armed stationary guards, private security officers (PSOs) providing 24-hour security and armed escort commandos working in three shifts. In addition, watchmen and trained drivers will be on hand in every shift to ensure the safety of Rajeev Kumar.
