Chicken prices increased again in Pakistan during Ramadan: Check latest prices Achi-News

LAHORE: Major cities across Pakistan including Lahore witnessed a notable increase in the cost of broiler meat on Monday during the holy month of Ramadan.

The cost of chicken meat in Lahore increased by Rs 32 in one day to Rs 612, and the cost of live chicken increased by Rs 22 to Rs 422 on the same day. However, the cost of a dozen farm eggs remained stable at 273 rupees.

However, the cost of fruits and vegetables has also increased, which has put more burden on the common citizen who is already struggling with the nation’s rising inflation.

In Lahore, onions cost Rs 200 per kilogram, Kachnar cost Rs 300 per kilogram, bell peppers cost Rs 400 per kilogram, apples cost Rs 250 per kilogram, melons cost Rs 200 per kilogram, strawberries cost Rs 300 per kilogram, and bananas cost Rs 200 per dozen.

Meanwhile, the cost of vegetables has started to come down in Peshawar as a result of the high court notice, but the cost of broiler chicken meat has remained the same at Rs 450 per kilogram.
