The Bharatiya Janata Party will contest elections in 13 Lok Sabha seats in Jharkhand. The party has announced the names of candidates for each of the 13 seats. The party has announced the names of the candidates through two lists.

The names of 11 candidates were announced in the first list released on March 2, where seven are old faces. While, the second list was released on 24 March. All new faces were included in this list. Sunil Soren of Dumka was included in the first list, which was changed in the second list and Sita Soren was included in his place.

There are five sitting MPs whose names have been removed from the list of candidates for all 13 Lok Sabha seats vacated by the BJP. The names of Hazaribagh MP Jayant Sinha, Lok Sabha MP Sudarshan Bhagat, Chatra MP Sunil Kumar Singh, Dhanbad MP PM Singh and Dumka MP Sunil Soren have been included in the list of these five sitting MPs.

AJSU will field its candidates from one seat, Giridih. AJSU is an ally of the BJP. The two parties had also contested the 2019 Lok Sabha elections together. Currently Chandra Prakash Choudhary is the MP of AJSU. This time also his name is discussed.

AJSU can make Chandra Prakash Chaudhary a candidate from Giridih.

Different story in Singhbhum, Rajmahal and Dumka

In the list released by the party, Geeta Koda has been given ticket for Singhbhum Lok Sabha seat. Geeta Koda has recently joined BJP. He was brought to the BJP only on the condition of giving him a ticket.

Apart from this, Hemlal Murmu, who was a candidate in the last elections in Rajmahal, has joined JMM. For this reason, former state president Tala Marandi has been given a ticket in this Lok Sabha seat.

Sunil Soren got a ticket in Dumka, but now Sita Soren will contest from this seat. Sita Soren also joined BJP a few days ago. They have also been forced to join only on the condition that they are given tickets.

Understand why MP ticket seats were cut.

Jayant Sinha, Hazaribagh: The clear reason for canceling his ticket has not been disclosed, but on March 2, the day BJP released the first list, the same afternoon he expressed his desire not to contest the elections on his X account.

However, Jayant Sinha was also believed to be still active in Delhi. Even after being an MP twice, he could not mix with the local workers. There are still many pending projects in his area.

Sudarshan Bhagat, Lohardaga: In his place, BJP has given ticket to Rajya Sabha MP Sameer Oraon. Sudarshan Bhagat is believed to have fallen victim to a wave of anti-thinking.

Since he did not get a place in Modi’s cabinet, there was every possibility of his ticket being cut in the upcoming elections.

Sameer Oraon, despite being a Rajya Sabha MP, was directly connected to the public. It is also said that he had a good influence in the Delhi clan.Sunil Singh, Chatra: The party also canceled the ticket of Sunil Singh, a two-time MP from Chatra. There is said to be immense discontent in the Chatra Lok Sabha constituency regarding Sunil Singh.

At the same time, he did not have much influence even among the workers. He also stayed away from the establishment. Recently, when Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh came to Itkhori, he held a meeting with the workers.

In this meeting also the workers had opposed Sunil Singh. This is the reason why his ticket was canceled and the ticket was given to local Kalicharan Singh.

PM Singh, Dhanbad: In the year 2009, PN Singh got an opportunity to contest elections for an MP seat. He became an MP for the first time by defeating Congress veteran Dadai Dubey on a BJP ticket.

After this, he also won the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections. For the fourth time, his age came in the way, as his ticket was canceled and the ticket was given to Dhullu Mahato.

Sunil Soren, Dumka: Sunil Soren’s name was on the BJP’s first list. Meanwhile, after the JMM turmoil, BJP invited Sita Soren to join them. Along with this invitation, he was also offered a ticket to contest the Dumka Lok Sabha elections.

Due to this, Sunil Soren’s ticket was cancelled. Although political pundits say that Sunil became an MP because of the Modi wave, he did not have a hold among the public.
