Chanda Kumari (19), daughter of Vinod Sakhani, a resident of Ward 3 in Ramchala Tola of Masmari Panchayat of Singhwada, died due to drowning in the water of a pit dug by a JCB at Basahi Chur, Simari. At around five o’clock on Tuesday evening, people who went to harvest wheat saw the girl’s body floating. Because of this, a feeling spread in the area. A crowd of people gathered towards the event site. Someone reported this to the Simri police. Simri police station in-charge Virendra Chaudhary seized the body and sent it to DMCH for post-mortem.
