Election Commission: Insulting Hema Malini! Notice to Congress leader Surjewala; Kharge must answer too! Achi-News

NEW DELHI: The Election Commission has sent a show-cause notice to Congress leader Randeep Surjewala, who had recently made a derogatory statement against BJP MP Hema Malini. The Commission has issued a notice after criticism that the statement given against Hema Malini, who is also a Bollywood actress, was rude and uncivilized. The commission told Surjewala to respond to the notice by April 11 (5 pm).

Notice to Congress party also

A response was sought from Congress chief Mallikarjuna Kharge. The commission has asked the Congress party what steps have been taken to implement the commission’s recommendations on the respect and dignity of women in public discussions. Kharge has been directed to give his response by the evening of April 12.

What did Surjewala say about Hema Malini?

Surjewala in his speech, there is no Hema Malini making people laugh here. No movie star. We respect Hema Malini because she is married to Dharmendra, our daughter-in-law. They are movie stars, but we are not like them, you make me or Gupta MPs so that we can serve you,” he said.
