On Tuesday, the Kolkata High Court directed the West Bengal Chief Secretary to sanction the prosecution of the accused arrested in the state school job scam case. He said a decision should be taken by April 23, CBI is investigating the scam, but it has not been cleared for a year and a half.

The Supreme Court expressed displeasure at the non-decision in the case that has been pending for a year and a half in the school job scam in West Bengal, and said that the Chief Secretary must give his approval for the prosecution of the accused in this fraud by April 23 according to all the circumstances. Judge Gimlia Bagchi said that the accused have been in custody for more than a year. During which the Chief Secretary presented the report to the court. In it he said that CBI has handed over partial documents. On this, CBI’s lawyer, Deputy Solicitor General Dheeraj Trivedi said that every document related to this case has been handed over to the authority. After seeing the report “H of the secretary, Justice Gaurang Kanth said that we are surprised that even a civil servant is not fulfilling his duty. According to him, this is the highest position in the country.

These were arrested in the case

Former Education Minister Preta Chatterjee, former West Bengal School Service Commission Secretary Ashok Shah, former West Bengal Board of Secondary Education Chairman Kalyanmoy Ganguly and former SSC Chairman Subir Bhattacharya, have been in custody for over a year in the school job scam. His bail application is being discussed in the High Court. However, the Governor of West Bengal has given permission to prosecute former minister Parta Chatterjee. The sanction for the trial against the other arrested accused has not yet been given. At the same time, the Speaker of the West Bengal Assembly approved the prosecution of The ruling Jevan Krishna Saha party.
