Latest e-passport fee in Pakistan – March 2024
The Immigration and Passports department in Pakistan has started issuing e-passports, which are highly secure travel documents, to Pakistani citizens.
These passports have a special electronic chip in them, which stores important information such as the person’s fingerprints and other personal details.
E-passports are already used in over 150 countries because they make border security more efficient. Pakistani e-passport holders can use special e-gates at airports around the world, making travel easier.
This new system replaces the old manual one and allows people to apply for passports online, making the process more convenient.
How to Get an E-Passport?
The application process for the e-Passport is similar to obtaining a Machine Readable Passport (MRP).
The following conditions are mandatory for the application of the e-Passport for Regional Returning Officers:
First Name and Surname are required
First Name is allowed up to 50 characters
Last name allows up to 40 characters
Relationship (Father/Husband/Guardian) A name of up to 40 characters is allowed
