Hello friends…
My name is Aarushi, I am associated with export business. I export fashionable dresses, custom jewellery, decorative items, children’s wear, accessories. I was interested in business from the start. During my college days, I used to sell sarees and suits on Amazon and many other e-commerce sites with my mother. Due to high competition the work could not continue for long. Because the market seems to be filled with these things.
There was a desire to do something different in life, but he couldn’t find a way. When I couldn’t understand anything, I left the online sales job and after college, I also worked in a company, but I didn’t feel like doing it there either. I decided to do business full time.
Registered company for 30,000 rupees
After working for a few days, I lost my interest in the job. I never had much attachment to the job anyway. This is from 2017, when I left my job and formed my own company, I started this company called ‘Lavish’ with only 30 thousand rupees. Initially, I continued to do international sales in collaboration with Amazon.
The work continued like this for a year or two. But later I got some international buyers so I started my own manufacturing. In these, along with making my own designs, I would also work on the designs given by the buyers. I started getting good orders and the work progressed.
Only women work here
Only women work in my company. I also discover art from Indian villages, hone their skills and make goods and sell them in the villages. There is a special purpose to connect women to us. Firstly, they should get work sitting at home and secondly, their skills should be recognized in the world. Indian hand jewelery is in high demand in foreign countries. Foreign women are crazy about Rajasthani dresses and Banjara jewellery. They are very fond of Indian culture because they are attracted to Indian clothes and jewellery.
my mother is a single mother
My mother has been a huge support behind my success. It has always encouraged me to move forward. My mother raised me and my sister, five years younger than me, with great difficulty. Mother is a doctor by profession, so there has never been any defect in the upbringing of our sisters.
I got what I wanted. Today I have traveled to more than 12 countries, I make my own decisions. This does not mean that I do not pay attention to my mother’s words, but my mother has made me so self-reliant that I can make even the biggest decisions on my own. Mother standing firm with us.
do not use a surname
It was my own decision not to add a surname to my name. No one pressured me about this. Like me, my sister also uses her first name only. I think when you are known by your name then what is the need to use a second name. Man’s work is his identity. That is why I do not consider it necessary to use a surname.
But then many problems had to be faced in legal documents. I was asked questions everywhere in school and college. But again I did not change my decision and stuck to my strong belief of not using my surname. All my certificates have only my name on them.
I am a solo world traveler
I am also a solo traveller. I really like to travel. Nature has decorated this beautiful world with colorful colors.
I have traveled to many countries. I learned a lot by going abroad. Culture, clothes, food, fashion, Teej festival of other countries, which you will see glimpses of in my work too.
Every place in the world is famous for its unique identity and specialty. I have traveled to 12 countries so far and my journey continues. They say where there’s a will there’s a way. I discover the cultural and artistic talents hidden in the villages of India and make their skills recognized across the world.
