It looks like a work party in Kitchener may not have gotten the eclipse-themed cake they were hoping for.
A person posted on the Waterloo area food Facebook group and shows the cake they got for dinner.
The white coated letters appear to read ‘EePispe 2024’.
The poster says they made the order over the phone and that’s where the error happened.

The order form shows the spelling as ‘Eclispe 2024’. And there seems to have been further confusion based on what ended up being on the cake.
Although the poster seems more alarmed by the black teeth of their co-workers than by the lettering on the cake.
“I screamed when I saw,” they said, in part.
Since their teeth may have resembled an eclipse, they clearly still enjoyed the cake despite the spelling mistake.
